I am Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Udine, where I coordinate the Body Lab UdinE. I also serve as senior researcher at the Scientific Institute (IRCCS) Eugenio Medea.
I graduated in Experimental Psychology at the University of Rome “La Sapienza" (2002) and obtained a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Verona, Italy (2006). After the PhD, I moved to the University of Udine for a 2-year post-doc position before joining the faculty as Assistant Professor in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2008 and as Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology in 2019. I am interested in the development and neural bases corporeal knowledge and self-transcendent representations, action prediction and anticipation, elite sport performance and sport learning. These issues are explored by integrating behavioural evaluation of healthy individuals and neuropsychiatric patients across the life span, neuropsychological evaluation of brain lesion patients and noninvasive brain stimulation in healthy individuals.
